With all that is swirling in the news about healthcare reform, including misinformation about advance directives and advance care planning, it is critical that we work to ensure that everyone understands the importance of this topic. Indeed, please also be aware that NHDD has always been and remains both apolitical and secular. The event exists to encourage the public, professionals, facilities, and organizations to improve the quality and frequency of discussions about healthcare wishes and to improve our efforts to honor those wishes--whatever they may be. To assist in spreading the word about NHDD, see the updated Case statement, which makes a great handout at meetings. Here are some template recruitment materials. Please use them as you see fit. As with last year, we've tried to streamline the process for confirming participation.
